to a Cure Reception is an evening to honor a corporate partner who recognizes
the importance of wellness in our community as well as a rheumatologist and an
orthopedic surgeon with the Dr. Marian Ropes Award for excellence in arthritis
care and leadership in the fight against arthritis. Dr. Marian Ropes was a pioneer and national
leader in rheumatology. She was the
first woman medical resident appointed by the Massachusetts General Hospital
and the first woman elected President of the American Rheumatism Association,
now the American College of Rheumatology.
The Commitment to a Cure reception is a
special evening of recognition, attracting 200+ guests including medical
leaders, business executives and patients. Funds raised at the reception
support programs, research and advocacy initiatives to help people today while
finding a cure for tomorrow.
